SAFE DRIVER FRANKLIN

Franklin earns credits toward his auto insurance by demonstrating safety skills.

Franklin used to take his daddy out for a drive every weekend until they came home one day, Sweet Cheeks got out of the car, and went for a walk on his own. Or maybe it was Franklin who went walking on his own so the rides stopped.

Sadly, Franklin now has quite a bit of difficulty getting in and out of the car.

But when he was behind the wheel of a red Mustang, with no particular place to go, those were good times for Franklin.

    1. I'll tell him you said so. He loves a compliment, especially when it's accompanied by some petting and a treat.

  4. Probably does a better job than some of the drivers I see on the roads.

  5. I would never trust my dog behind the wheel. She'd tear up the car running down the mailman.

  6. Franklin looks like he's got a lot of driving experience. And he looks very sharp behind the wheel.

I can't encounter the name Franklin without immediately thinking of the Twilight Zone episode titled 'The Fever'.

In fact, my Brother and I regularly play ping-pong at the local Old Folks' Home (Senior Citizens' Center) and we have a collection of ping-pong balls that we've actually given names to. For examples, we have Pinky, and his mother, Maureen O'Hara; we have Papillon, and his dad, Pappy; we've got a K-Dogg; Mrs. Wiley (reincarnated); The Girl From Ipanema; and we have a Punk. Believe it or not, we also have a Franklin.

Here's a cable TV show I think you'd probably like:

It can be found for free on the Tubi channel, if'n you has that one.

    I hope you're having a lovely Sunday.
