THE BAD MOOD THAT MIGHT LAST A WHILE

 Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

Mama's not happy and when Mama's not happy, ain't nobody happy.

Favorite Young Man has been doing so much work around the house, which I adore and appreciate.

But remember the post when I told you he was going to take care of something that I've been waiting for many years to have done?

Yeah, you know what's coming:

HE DIDN'T FINISH!!!!

That's why I'm not happy, and I might stay this way for another day or two.

I keep telling him that perhaps I'll pick up the reins and do the work and he won't like it because I'll mess it up and then he'll have to finish the job while repairing the damage that I do.

Anyson, I don't want to post the first photos that I took until he actually shows signs of finishing the job. Like getting out of bed. That would be a sign. Yeah. Maybe.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

Have you voted?

I have because I voted by mail. I received a notification that my ballot was received.

I was––tee hee––naked.

And by the way, do any of you have solar panels? I'd love to know if you are happy with their output and which company you used to get them.

  1. I am very, very glad you voted.
And hope that you are able to shame Favourite Young Man into finishing the job he started.
Blessed blogger is refusing to let me comment. I hope it decides to play nicely this time.

    1. So many people have trouble with comments. I was okay with blogger the way that it was. Unfortunately, I think FYM is too old to feel shame over not finishing something for his mom. I'm very glad I voted, too.

  3. Oh no...I’m sorry that this was not done but maybe he will get it done since he sees you so disappointed. He better! Hahahaa. Good for you for voting naked...maybe this will be a great way to vote. I don’t have any solar panels but have been interested in them.

    1. I thought about getting solar panels because you have to place your order before Oct. 31 to get the tax credit, which is expiring. I don't think I'm going to do it because I've read too much negative stuff about them.

  4. Ooh, Favorite Young Men appear to require a lot of patience.

    1. My particular FYM has always required a lot of patience. At least he's not a Trumpeteer. I couldn't take that.

  5. Glad you got your vote in and it got counted. You must have gotten yours in early. Sounds like we've hit the cut off for using the post office, doesn't it?
I'm not familiar with solar panels but I find them fascinating. Are you getting some?
Good luck getting your project finished, I know that's frustrating.

    1. I've been giving a lot of thought to the solar panels. I don't think I'm going through with it. FYM and I both researched them. All the negative stuff about them has scared me off, and FYM's conclusion was if they're so great, then why don't people have them all over the place, especially here in The Sunshine State. Yes, I sent my vote pretty early. Carol got hers in even earlier. I don't think FYM has voted. If he doesn't vote and Trump wins, that will really be something to piss me off. You're right: It's probably too late to just send a ballot in the mail. I think early voting ends this weekend.

  6. Oh, Mama. I sometimes think nothing is ever finished until it's finished, and even then.

    1. If we didn't have such a problem with the virus, I would probably beg you to come here and yell at him.

  8. Damn. I should've voted naked. I was clothed when voting by mail and so they did not receive my ballot. Sigh.

    Happy Halloween.
    Love you.

  9. Well, that's quite a screw up. Get rid of your clothes! Love you back.

  10. What to do, what to do. Can you take away his bed?

  11. My husband hasn't finished a project that should have been finished 2 months ago. It really bugs me, so I know how you are feeling.

We looked into solar and decided against it when they wanted us to cut down most of our trees. I'm a tree hugger from way back - My trees gives us sun warmth in the winter when they lose their leaves and they give us natural shade over the house in the hot summer. The trees STAY!

    1. I was a little concerned about the trees, too. I think they might have needed to cut down a big tree in my front yard that gives us lots of shade.

    1. Yes, but I've lived with many unfinished projects.
