Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,
I awoke Thursday morning to a warm ball of Penelope curled against my lower back and knew the temperature had dropped. We're enjoying sun and lower humidity––what a relief after the heat of summer.
Franklin's thyroid number was too high, so he takes one pill per day now instead of two. He is a happy-go-lucky guy, as long as he doesn't have to get in or out of the car.
Infinities of love,
Janie Junebug
Both dogs look happy...and it's always a good thing when the backyard doesn't look like a lake.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy Lake Junebug is dry.
DeleteSuch adorable pups you have, Janie! ♥ Enjoy the cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debbie. I enjoy your photos of your pup.

DeleteFranklin is such a handsome fellow. Glad it has cooled down for you, too. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't he gorgeous? He gets so many compliments and he loves them all.
DeleteHooray for cooler weather - and a happy Franklin. Jazz is still on two tablets a day - which is sometimes a challenge (for me not him).
ReplyDeleteHow do you get Jazz to take them? It's even more difficult with cats.
DeleteAt the moment he will mostly accept them wrapped in a morsel of chicken. Mostly.
DeleteI've been hiding Franklin's pill between two treats on top of his supper. He will also take it with peanut butter between 2 crackers. Some other methods, such as pill pockets, failed because he learned to eat the pill pocket and spit out the pill. Same with putting pills in cheese.
DeleteThe pups look content. Dudo’s lying on the sofa in the sun, which means summer is over for him.
ReplyDeleteWe once had a hound who had suffered some nasty injuries before we adopted him. He loved the sun and would follow a sunbeam across our family room so he could rest in the warmth.
DeleteHappy dogs!
ReplyDeleteIt's been much cooler here for the past few days, though we warm up slightly the this week.
I can always tell the weather change by the number of animals sleeping with me ... other than Carlos
xoxo
Oh, that Carlos. Such an animal.
DeleteLove Franklin's big grin!
ReplyDeleteHe's always had a great smile.
DeleteYour babies are so pretty and handsome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne. They're the two best dogs in my house.
DeleteSo much more pleasant to have lower humidity! Enjoy it while it lasts! You take great care of Penelope and Franklin! They are very fortunate!
ReplyDeleteI'm the fortunate one. Those two take good care of me.
DeleteSuch nice photos
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo-Anne. I've never been a very good photographer so that's an especially nice compliment.
DeleteHello, Franklin. I have thyroid problems, too, and am so happy I only have to take one pill a day! And a half on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteFranklin and I take the same thyroid medication, but my pill doesn't have to be hidden in my food.
DeleteWinston is on the same meds. Half a pill in the morning half a pill at night.
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous photos of the two Gud Dugs ! So adorable.
If Winston is on the same meds, then Franklin is in good company.
DeleteI love the photos, Janie. Your pups look happy.
