A RAINY, CHILLY SUNDAY

 Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

After a run of pleasant, warm weather, it rained and the weather changed. It's chilly and rainy. After Franklin and Penelope went out this morning, Penelope went back to bed.

I was afraid she was cold, so I put a sweater on her and covered her with her green blankie. To my surprise, she allowed me to photograph her. She's camera shy, as am I.

She looked so small and sweet. I made sure she had a toy in case she needed a little chew.

Franklin is larger, of course, but he's quite slender under all that fur. Here are old photos of  hair that accumulated during a brushing:

And here's a beautiful smile:

We hope you have a great week. Our sun should be back soon.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

  4. Wishing you sunshine. Those photos (excluding the hair) are helping me restart my day.

  5. All that dog hair reminds of friends who have two dogs. They have a sign in the hallway as you enter that says, "If you can't deal with dog hair, go no farther!"

    1. I've seen signs that say "A meal is always better with a dog hair in it."

    1. I get tired of the rain in Florida because we have so much and because of the Lake Junebug mess.

  7. Alaska's getting ready to blow her coat. Thankfully we'll have sunshine for a few days in a row so I can brush her outside everyday. Then the birds take it for nests.

It's so messy, but it does crack me up when we clean out all the bird houses and they are full of perfectly woven, white, gray, and black hues of husky hair.

    1. Franklin would love that. Penelope must spend a long time getting used to a person before she allows petting.

  9. Penelope, you look so sad. I hope you are feeling better now. And I want to give both of you a hug.

  10. Aw, I missed all these posts! Please tell Penelope she is beautiful and that her toofers make her smile unique and special.
I really need to brush George. In fact he's lying down now so I might grab my chance - if he lets me.

    1. Franklin loves to be brushed. Although Penelope's hair is short, she likes the scratching the brush provides.
