Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,
After a run of pleasant, warm weather, it rained and the weather changed. It's chilly and rainy. After Franklin and Penelope went out this morning, Penelope went back to bed.
I was afraid she was cold, so I put a sweater on her and covered her with her green blankie. To my surprise, she allowed me to photograph her. She's camera shy, as am I.
She looked so small and sweet. I made sure she had a toy in case she needed a little chew.
Franklin is larger, of course, but he's quite slender under all that fur. Here are old photos of hair that accumulated during a brushing:
Awwwww sweet babies. They look so adorable.
ReplyDeleteThey are my angels as iWinston and Agatha are yours.
DeleteThey are both truly beautiful. But you (and they) know that.
ReplyDeleteWe three are happy together.
DeleteSounds like you had the weather we had all last week.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Penelope is just too cute for words...look at those eyes!!!!!! You have two happy dogs Janie.
They are happy except during thunderstorms.
DeleteWishing you sunshine. Those photos (excluding the hair) are helping me restart my day.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you could restart your day.
DeleteAll that dog hair reminds of friends who have two dogs. They have a sign in the hallway as you enter that says, "If you can't deal with dog hair, go no farther!"
ReplyDeleteI've seen signs that say "A meal is always better with a dog hair in it."
DeleteTwo beautiful pups!
ReplyDeleteThey are my sweethearts.
DeleteI love rainy days, but our dog doesn't share my feelings. Penelope and Franklin are just the cutest😁
ReplyDeleteI get tired of the rain in Florida because we have so much and because of the Lake Junebug mess.
DeleteAlaska's getting ready to blow her coat. Thankfully we'll have sunshine for a few days in a row so I can brush her outside everyday. Then the birds take it for nests.
ReplyDeleteIt's so messy, but it does crack me up when we clean out all the bird houses and they are full of perfectly woven, white, gray, and black hues of husky hair.
The birds thank you and Alaska.
DeleteI wanna pet both of your puppies!
ReplyDeleteFranklin would love that. Penelope must spend a long time getting used to a person before she allows petting.
DeletePenelope, you look so sad. I hope you are feeling better now. And I want to give both of you a hug.
ReplyDeletePenelope was cold, but she's fine now.
DeleteAw, I missed all these posts! Please tell Penelope she is beautiful and that her toofers make her smile unique and special.
ReplyDeleteI really need to brush George. In fact he's lying down now so I might grab my chance - if he lets me.
Franklin loves to be brushed. Although Penelope's hair is short, she likes the scratching the brush provides.
DeletePenelope looks very cozy! And Franklin looks so happy.
ReplyDeleteFranklin is a happy dog. It takes a lot to get him down.
DeleteDid I leave a comment I don't remember, anyway my Sunday was cold and wet
ReplyDeleteWe were cold, Jo-Anne, but now it's Tuesday and we have warmth and sunshine.
DeletePenelope is LOVE.
