WHEN TRUMP WENT TO TULSA

Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

My back is better. I'm off the muscle relaxers but still using the heating pad.

I admit I enjoyed the empty seats in Tulsa on Saturday night.

His Trumpness bragged that tickets went to one million people--an absurdity since the venue couldn't hold nearly that many people.  According to forbes.com, about 62,000 people were there. Or maybe it was 6,200. Or 620. I didn't see any masks or social distancing efforts in spite of the empty seats. I will take no pleasure in the number of people who test positive for the virus.

When all the lying was done, Trump looked deflated. I think someone stuck a big pin in his belly and let some of the air out.

I like that look on him.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

  1. I have seen that he blames the low numbers (and they must have been low for him to admit it) on nasty, nasty demonstators.
I do hope that this is a sign of things to come in November.

    1. Yes, a few demonstrators were there. They didn't stop anyone from attending. I hope it's a sign of things to come, too, but I don't count on anything.

  2. Instead of 19,000 plus overflow--yes, it was something like 6,200. You know how he hates empty seats. I like that look on him, too--LOL! ;)

Watch out! Isn't he planning to have the convention in your town?!

    1. Yes! The Republican convention is coming to Jacksonville. I have no idea how that's going to get done. I doubt if we even have enough hotel rooms.

  3. May all this translate to a humiliating loss at the polls in November.

Glad your back is improving. Sorry you still need the heating pad (but better than muscle relaxers).

    1. In general, I'm opposed to people being humiliated, but I don't feel that way about Trump.

  4. I hope he carries that look for the rest of his miserable life.

    1. So do I, but when he's out of office, he'll probably do nothing but play golf and whine.

  5. Its horrible that your back has been acting up. Glad yoy're feeling better. Yeah, I hope your elections go much better this time, but I'm not very knowledgeable about your other candidate options, but I just hope they're better than your current option.

    1. Our other option is my choice: Joe Biden. He was Barack Obama's vice president. He knows a great deal about foreign affairs and has a lot of experience from years in the senate. He has pledged to name a woman as his running mate. Of course, we can vote for anyone we want by writing a name in on the ballot, but to me that's the same as throwing away your vote. I really want to see Joe Biden in The White House.

  8. This is hilarious.
It's amazing what a good belt can do to hide a ginormous belly.

    Love you.

  10. I hope he got the message. Unfortunately, he is good at denial.

    1. Allegedly he was very angry with his staff, especially his campaign manager.

  11. I fear for what he will do next. He doesn't like losing. Glad your back is better. I haven't been tending to my blog. I guess I should think up a post soon. I'm so behind. Stay well.

  12. So glad your back is better. My heat pad is why I manage without any medications. That, and basically staying out of the bad air politicians exude...

  15. Cannot imagine being out in the Oklahoma sun waiting to get into an arena. Totally inconceivable to me, at this time or any time.

    1. And this afternoon people were waiting in the South Dakota sun for the fireworks at Mount Rushmore, a really stupid and dangerous stunt.
