Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,
Listen up, book lovers. Our girl Robyn Alana Engel has a book out that's doing pretty well. Robyn blogs at Life By Chocolate.
Her memoir-ish book is Woman on the Verge of Paradise.
Please go to Life By Chocolate to request a free copy of Woman on the Verge of Paradise. Then pretty please with sugar on it, review the book on Amazon. Here's what can happen:
Robyn says "I need five more. Just five more reviews, til Amazon promotes my book. I can get five, right? Five is all I need. Do I have five volunteers to read - or pretend to read and love - my book and write an Amazon review? I only need five!"
Do this for Robyn, and when she and I replace Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as the Mistresses of Mirth, we will mention your name on an awards show. How cool is that?
And if you have the book and haven't reviewed it, come on. You can do it!
Infinities of love,
Janie Junebug
I gave her 5 stars in January--quit nagging me!!
ReplyDeleteWhat about Nameless? Can't she help? If she refuses to be on your blog, then the least she can do is write a review.
DeleteAnd that's why I love fishducky and Janie. Nameless? Not so much!
DeleteRobyn is one of the funniest ladies I know and she and her book deserve much success.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't reviewed it, I hope you will.
DeleteThank you, Stephen. Please see Janie's comment. =)
DeleteI bought this book shortly after Robyn published it, but I guess I never left a formal review on Amazon. Anyway, I've done so now and it's being processed, the bot tells me. I wrote it on Amazon.ca but I assume it will also show up on Amazon.com and be counted in the total number?
ReplyDeleteI left a comment on your blog that I don't know. I haven't seen your review or another that I know someone wrote. I hope we don't have trouble with this push to get Robin her fifty reviews.
DeleteYou actually have to go to Amazon.com and leave a review. Sadly, Amazon won't post it on the US site if you review it on another country's Amazon. Urk!
DeleteI knew you bout and read it quickly, Debra. I'll message you. Your review didn't show on my Amazon page, unless you'd written one earlier.
DeleteI think I can handle that request. I'll hop over to Robyn's page. I nominated you for the Music and Words Award. If you'd like to see what it's all about, please visit my page.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mama. I can't do Music and Words for quite some time, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it, and I'll try to get to it.
DeleteYay, Sherry! It'll be on it's way this weekend. Thank you! Thank you, Janie! You're the best of the best.
DeleteI'd love to help, but unfortunately, I already read the book and reviewed it some time ago. Think I could do it again with an assumed name... ? HA
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, kiddo.
I saw your review. It's great. It's fine with me if you want to write a review as Blasphemy Fucknfluff. Damn! That's a great name. Sometimes I amuse myself a tiny bit.
DeleteI'm inclined to write a review under BlasphemyFucknfluff myself. Thanks for the idea, Janie. Susan's review was wonderful. I really do love you both. But BlashemyFucknfluff? Not so much.
DeleteI met Blasphemy once. It didn't go well. She said I'm going to hell because I'm so bad.
