Recently, the delightful Chrys Fey, who blogs at Write With Fey, had a Rafflecopter on her blog. Did I enter?
You better believe it!
And guess who won?
Moi. Mi. Si. Oui.
Chrys sent me an adorable little silver ghostie on a necklace, two Halloween pencils, TWO OF HER E-BOOKS, and a Halloween card with a sweet message.
I'm in love with my little ghostie, and I adore Chrys Fey, who is a fellow Floridian.
Take a look at all this loot:
The e-books she gave me are
Thank you, Chrys Fey!
What are you doing tonight for Halloween (that is, if you live in a country where you celebrate the craziness of sending children out to beg for candy)? Willy Dunne Wooters and Favorite Young Man will be here soon. We'll eat dinner, and then we'll hide in the back of the house.
I stopped giving out treats after children nearly knocked me down in an attempt to grab my candy, or maybe they were after a boob.
Maaaaaaaxxxxwelllll, no egging cars. Or houses. Or anything else unless you're scrambling some eggs for the one you love.
Infinities of love,
That's a terrific haul, Janie! Congratulations to you! It was very generous of Chrys to send you all that stuff. I didn't know she lives here in Florida. Mrs. Shady and I hope to have a nice quiet H-ween and watch scary movies including one of my favorites, G.A. Romero's Day of the Dead.ReplyDelete
Have a safe and happy evening, dear friend!
I've noticed that many of the best people live in Florida. Don't you think so?Delete
Reading and scrambling eggs on this rainy weekend sounds delightful.ReplyDelete
It's warm and humid here in Florida.Delete
It use to be fun when mine were small but even today the little ones are so greedy.ReplyDelete
I live out in the foothills and up a very long drive, no trick or treaters for me.
Adore your special gifts !
I never would have allowed my children to grab candy. They took what they got and said, Thank you.Delete
Congratulations. I love the necklace and it will look terrific on you.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Mr. C. Happy Halloween.Delete
That's fantastic! Congratulations on winning—Chrys is awesome!ReplyDelete
. . . And I just got back from taking my kids to beg for candy LOL
I hope the kids share the candy with you. I used to take my kids out, but they behaved . . . or else. We never had an or else situation.Delete
I have a ton of trick or treaters and really do like having them. I am kind of mean though and make them have some kind of order before I give the treats.I put it in their bags rather than let them do the grabbing thing. Most of the kids around here are pretty mannerly.ReplyDelete
I couldn't control the kids who came to my house, and their parents didn't bother.Delete
Hi Janie - the little ghostie looks delightful and just right at this time of year. What a lovely win from Chrys .. enjoy the reads. Halloween is happening here .. but being in a flat - they can't get in .. and so I'm passed by .. and am not full of sweets! Expect you had a lovely evening with WDW and your young man ... cheers HilaryReplyDelete
We did indeed have a lovely evening. We always have fun when we get together.Delete
That is a wonderful amount of gifts you received from Chris Fey-Love the necklace. I decorate and give out candy and all the kids were quite good...except for one tot who was not thankful and being bratty. I just felt she should have been dressed as a future welfare gal having her 5 th kids from yet another baby daddy..oops am I being judgemental??:)ReplyDelete
Birgit, you made me laugh. I read your comment to Willy Dunne Wooters.Delete
Chrys is a jewel - I love her blog. She's very talented.ReplyDelete
As for the win: it couldn't happen to a nicer gal. Unless I got it. In which case, whooo hoooo!
You are a nicer gal. I should pack up my goodies and send them to you. NOT!Delete
