TODAY IS INTERNATIONAL WOMBAT DAY

Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

If I don't make the mistake of clicking on the thing next to my blog post, will it please not insert links? Let's try: International Wombat Day. Okay. No link. However, predictive text has taken over and I hate and despise it. Let's enjoy a picture of a cute little wombat to help make up for it.

Okay. Something is really messed up. It took forever for me to get a picture of a wombat. I can't do searches the way I usually do. I can't get photos the way I usually do.

What madness doth this be? What cruel witchery hath taken over the world?

Are the rest of you under attack by these wicked demons or hath they only taken over my computer?

Out, witches and warlocks, out! Get thee out of my mechanical device or I shall send my good and faithful servant dog to show her teeth, frighten you, and send you away! Take heed!

Bubble bubble toil and trouble get your asses out of my metal box or I'll turn you to rubble!

I'm too tired to mess with this now. Perhaps the good fairies of the internet will arrive overnight and all will be well tomorrow.

  1. My mechanical device hasn’t been any more temperamental than usual. Thanks so much for reminding me of Wombat Day. I would have completely forgotten. I had just enough time to unbox my decorations.

    1. Oh, good. I was so disturbed by the evil in my computer, I didn't get to celebrate.

  2. I still get and post pictures the same way as always, and that linky thing has yet to bother me but then I have never clicked it.

    1. I believe the fix-it fairies were here overnight. I don't know if they came down the chimney or if Princess let them in while I slept.

  4. I think there may have been updates again. I long for the days when they asked you if you wanted to update and I could say NO! lol!

    1. It is an ugly, wicked linky thing that will show up next to a new post you're writing. The temptation to click on it will come on you but you must maintain control and fight the witches and warlocks.

  7. All's well here. Perhaps Google is having technical problems with the Blogger platform? In any case, these things usually clear up within 24 hours. Good luck! 🤞

    1. All was not well when I first turned on my computer this evening. Witches and trolls continued to inhabit the machine, so I did a restart that sent them to sleep. They were not allowing me to type and send an email. Forsooth, the troubles seem to be gone now. Do you think forsooth has an "e" on the end?

  8. Periodically, Blogger does a "standstill and stop your feet" act. Like not uploading an image or sending writer into a loop. I'm grateful for everything that works as it should.

    1. I'm grateful, too. The problems are relatively few and far between.

  9. International Wombat Day??!! How could I have missed that?! Cute little guy. I hate tech problems that seem impossible to fix. Hours spent trying to fix one little thing all for naught. Sometimes I reach out to NextDoor and post the problem/question there and almost always someone responds with just the right fix. Maybe give that a try. I resort to that after I've watched all the YouTube how to fix it videos and gone thru all the google search recommendations -- maybe I ought to just start with NextDoor. MIght save me hours of frustration and not subject the dogs to all my cussing during that time... :)

    1. I'm so sorry you missed International Wombat Day. We always have a big celebration at my house with decorations and food that wombats enjoy. I've never tried NextDoor for computer problems because the people in my area mostly fight about Republican v. Democrat matters and based on the spelling and grammar I see, these people are not the brightest crayons in the box.
