THEY CALL ME . . . THE JACKAL

Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

I am immersed in The West Wing. I never watched it when it was on TV. Now I have a date with Netflix for every available minute in my day.

The Silver Fox, who blogs from his lair (where else would he blog?) told me that I would like this show and he was right.

However, The Silver Fox is not always right. We are in the middle of an argument concerning Woody Allen. No, I'm not telling you about the argument, at least not right now, so don't ask me.

At one point during this argument, I told him that if he is ever charged with a crime. then I will arrange to be on the jury so I can vote guilty.

He said, I know you would.

I am a woman to be taken seriously.  In fact, they call me . . . The Jackal.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

  1. The silver fox better watch out. Maybe not commiting a crime in the first place would prevent being charged, or maybe...

  2. Not going to inquire about the Allen argument but will say I can no longer watch a Woody Allen movie. I hate it because I really like some of them.

  3. Why oh why is that so many talented people fail on the ethical behaviour front. And fail so spectacularly.

    1. If I were that famous, people would probably think I do a lot of things that are horrible.

  5. I always had a hard time watching Woody Allen movies--only a couple of them did I find tolerable. Later on I found out why.

I, also, have never watched The West Wing. Not sure this clip was encouraging, though--LOL! ;)

  7. Gee, I had no idea we were still in the middle of the argument. I thought we just gave up on it. But it couldn't have been a "real" argument, because we didn't start throwing personal insults at each other and stop speaking. I mean, isn't that the way arguments have to be nowadays? Or is that just when it's a political argument?

I gave my sister the boxed set of all the episodes of The West Wing. She said it was the best present anyone had ever given her.

    1. I think if you disagree with me, then we're having an argument until you give up and decide to agree with me.

    1. House of Cards was good at first. It's gone downhill. I think I should write a post about #METOO.

    1. You could give it a try. I won't guarantee that you'll like it, but the fictional president is a liberal and his press secretary is the opposite Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

  13. There are so many actors that I have stopped watching their movies from a long way back. I do not want my hard earned money lining their pockets. Makes movie watching so much easier.

  14. The Silver Fox does not believe Woody Allen is guilty? What's the address to his lair? I'm on your side, babe.
    Love.

  15. I LOVED West Wing and hated when it went off the air. Designated Survivor is my new favorite. The presidents on both of those shows are sooooo much better than the real thing.

I've never been a Woody Allen fan. He's a disgusting pig. (Not that I have an opinion about it...)
