DISCOMBOBULATED

Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

I didn't provide you with a WHAT WEDNESDAY this week because I thought Tuesday was Wednesday and it was too late to prepare the post. I swear even Alexa told me it was Wednesday on Tuesday. Then the next day arrived and it was Wednesday all over again and once again, too late.

Changing days to confuse me must be part of a vast right-wing conspiracy. But I know what day it is today. It's Sunday, or maybe Thursday, and don't you forget it.

The summer and now autumn have been nasty to me by encouraging my eczema to spread and itch. Currently I have eczema welts under my boobs. I am not taking a photo to share with you because you would probably get a peek at my amazing bosoms. I know some of you long to see my fabulous tits. I'm not naming names. You know who you are. It's you, and it's YOU.

Shame on you.

Alice has to see Dr. G today to get her bordatella vaccine. The poor girl will panic at Dr. G's touch.

I have all sorts of projects underway in the house. One is in the refrigerator.  It's not finished, but I'll show you what I've done so far.

See the black-and-white liner under the milk and big Tupperware bowl of salad?

The liner is fabric and it can be cleaned in the washing machine.

As I add the liner, I'm washing the shelves and walls of the refrigerator and I'm reorganizing the shelves. Some of the shelves won't go back in because I never have enough storage space for tall items.

The liner is a bit thick, so it provides a nice cushion for all the drinks and food that have to live in the refrigerator.

I'm happy with it.

I haven't lined the fruit/veggie drawers yet. I don't have any fresh veggies at the moment ––only fruit, so I have lime in one drawer and strawberry in the other.

I got my flu and COVID vaccinations yesterday, both in my left arm. If my arm is sore, I've been too hard at it to notice.

I'm relieved the felon backed off from live streaming the execution of Nidal Hasan, but it never should have been up for discussion.

This post is my last for this week. I look forward to seeing you all on Monday. Hope you have a great weekend.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

  1. I just cleaned my fridge, too. This one has glass shelves so I don't line them...but I think the lining is a great idea. Happy weekend. TODAY IS FRIDAY---just thought I would let you know....lol...Diana

    1. Friday? Maybe. My refrigerator has glass shelves, too, but I would rather wash the liner than wipe off the crumby shelves all the time. They also tend to look streaky.

  2. Have a great weekend Janie. I am impressed with your refrigerator cleaning skills. Having liners is a very clever thing. I have never thought of that. I saw the Randy Rainbow clip the other day. He is so funny.

Hopefully your reaction to the vaccines will be minimal.

And you are correct, the streaming of the execution should never have been up for discussion. The whole thing was just so unbelievable, but that's unfortunately the world we live in now.

    1. My left arm is a tiny bit sore. Having liners in the refrigerator never occurred to me until I saw the liners for sale on macys.com. I was pretty sure 🟧 wouldn't go through with the live streaming when the reaction, even among republicans, led to a hue and cry.

  3. I guess Cankles was convinced by the one rational mind in his regime ... I kid, there are no rational minds in his regime ... or by his plummeting popularity that murdering someone on live TV would be a huge mistake.
    Dumbass.

    1. Double dumbass with hegseth. Maybelline Vance is . . . I don't know what he is other than a couch fucker and a flip-flopper and a liar (so I guess I know what he is), but at least he reacted negatively to the idea of live streaming and said he wouldn't watch it. Is that good? Does that show some respectability? I don't think I can compliment anyone that weak-willed and covetous simply because he showed 15 seconds of sense.

  4. Washable fabric fridge shelf liners are a great idea! My fridge desperately, DESPERATELY, needs to be cleaned and refreshed. Perhaps I will take inspiration from your example, Janie, and bestir myself to do so. I've been hiding one sticky spill under a piece of paper towel for about, oh I don't know, five years now? TIME TO DEAL WITH IT!

    1. I have times when I hide spills under a paper towel so I understand. My liner is DII Design Imports Washable Shelf Liners. I ordered it from macys.com. It's reversible so if I feel wild and crazy I can turn it over and have a different pattern.

  5. They're getting me too! I keep thinking it's Saturday!
Also need to clean out the fridge. And mop the floor and ... phuf.
We'll just walk Syd. Hope Alice is also okay after her vaccine.

    1. Unfortunately, we had to cancel Alice's appointment. My beloved Dr. Spooner started me on a new medication and warned me it might upset my stomach. It did. We must reschedule the vaccination. Alice was thrilled we couldn't go today. I washed the rugs in my kitchen and laundry room and mopped the floors before we had recent heavy rains. Now everything is filthy from my muddy paws.

  6. I've never seen shelf liner for a refrigerator. I had no idea such a thing existed! I suppose washing it is easier than cleaning shelves, though.

    1. I'd never seen refrigerator shelf liner until I happened across it at macys.com. I think it's pretty cool. I don't like seeing crumbs on the shelves and trying to keep them wiped off all the time.

  7. How annoying and painful to deal with eczema! As you know, two of my grandsons have it and it's miserable when it flares. I would imagine that under the boobs is a particularly difficult spot. I've had my flu and Covid too although I spread them apart. After the flu shot, I mowed the lawn and possibly because of that, my arm didn't hurt as much. The live streaming of an execution would have been barbaric, but it was barbaric to even suggest it.

    1. I worked in the yard a bit today -- okay, probably more than a bit -- and my arm is only a tiny bit sore. When I'm not wearing a bra, my boobs rest on the eczema. I've been coming up with ways to treat the problem, such as putting a soft towel under my boobs so they don't touch the skin underneath.
I keep thinking the felon has a stopping point, somewhere he won't go because the thought or idea is repugnant, but I haven't seen any evidence of decency from him.

  8. I think your fruit consumption may have eased the soreness in your arm. Just a theory.

    1. Dr. Deedles! Calling Dr. Deedles. Doctor, please write a prescription for me. I need even more fruit–– let's call it a specialty fruit. Please help me out Dr. Deedles.
      You are hilarious.

  9. Your produce drawers look like mine!!!! And I said a live execution would have changed this country forever and not for the good. I don't think execution should be scene, with the looney tunes that are in this country. What would be next, Purge Night like in those self-entitled movies?????

    1. What about the short story, The Lottery? We need to offer sacrifices so we stone some people to death. I am opposed to the death penalty. Besides, I think people suffer far more if they're locked up for years or for the rest of their lives.
If your produce drawers meet my produce drawers, just think of all the wonderful bottles they might make together.

  10. I have seen shelf liners for fridges, they are very useful. My fridge has glass shelves, so I don't use them, but I would otherwise.

  11. Well done with your fridge liners, Janie! Everything looks organized and clean. (I'm a bit of a fanatic about my fridge). I see that you and I enjoy the same margarita drink made from agave wine. 😂😂😂. I typically buy the lime one, although I enjoy the strawberry one too. I , just me, go through at least a bottle a week when I'm home. 😱. Thanks for the delightful Randy Rainbow video. I haven't seen him in too long. I hope your eczema clears up soon. It must be miserable. Hugs to you!

    1. The under-boob eczema is gone for now, which makes me feel better. If you ever want a little floriduh vacation, you know where to go to get a drink.

  13. The liner looks a good idea.
I hope your arms are feeling better now. We had our jabs on Saturday, one in each arm. The Covid one is still tender, but it's better than the alternative.
