I GOT A HANGOVER AND DIDN'T EVEN GET DRUNK

Dear Friends,

If you are a fan of the movie Hangover II (recently released on DVD), then I'm sorry, but you may have a deformed sense-of-humor gene.

I liked the first Hangover movie a little tiny bit. Mike Tyson and the tiger were kind of funny. And both movies have one attraction that I'll discuss in just a minute.

But the second movie is practically a remake of the first: Let's put the doofus guys in a different location and have them get in trouble so they barely make it to the wedding.

Bor - ring.

I'm not a big fan of physical comedy, anyway, and this movie sorely lacks amusing dialog. Not even Ed Helms is funny, and I think he's rejuvenated The Office as the new district manager at Dunder Mifflin.

I am especially sick of Ken Jeong, who plays Mr. Chow. His voice reminds me of Roseanne Barr's in that it sounds like fingernails on a chalk board.

I'm not posting the trailer for the movie because I think it would be copyright infringement, but you can go to this link to watch it.

You can't miss Ken Jeong as Mr. Chow, who says, We had a sick night, bitches.

Blah, blah, and more blah.

So what's the one thing both Hangover movies have going for them?

The view.

And I don't mean the setting.

We're talkin' Bradley Cooper. The man is eye candy.

Oh yeah. Bradley Cooper. The man looks like one sweet ride to me.

But you're better off skipping The Hangover Part Two, and if you haven't seen the first Hangover movie, don't bother. Simply stare at photos of Bradley Cooper.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

  2. Baur, I like Adam Sandler occasionally, like in The Wedding Singer. But most of his movies definitely raise the stupidity level on Earth.

  3. Yes! I finally got to your blog! It's been so weird, but I think I'm finally following you now!

Okay, um, Bradley Cooper...oh, yeah, serious eye candy.

And, um, thank you for posting his picture--was much needed. LOL

  4. Frisky! I'm so happy you're here. My members list has included you for several days. I had no idea you couldn't get here. Making the blog private has turned into such a pain, but with my ex-husband reading and the anonymous comments I was getting, I just had to go private. If you have time, please send me an email and tell me how you got here and what was difficult about it. If you have advice for other potential members, I'd love to send it with the invitations.

Ahhhhhhh . . . Bradley Cooper. I saw some other great photos of him online. Choosing was very difficult.

  5. Dear Janie,
You've lost me on this one. I'm not much of a movie goer and have never heard of this movie--either the first one or the remake. I take it that I'm missing nothing on the remake except the one actor. Is the first one scary or humorous or what?????

    Peace.

  6. Dee, You haven't missed a blessed thing by not seeing these movies. Both movies are supposed to be funny, but they're not. They are just plain dumb. The one actor I like in them is Bradley Cooper -- his photo is in my post. You don't need to see these two bad movies to see him. Just Google Bradley Cooper and stare at the photos. You'll be smiling before you know it.

  7. I liked the first one. I just never saw why everyone always jizzed all over themselves over it. There are a lot more movies out there that are funnier. Hell, during parts of that, staring at my asshole in a mirror are funnier.

  8. Maxwell, I don't want to stare at my butt, but I can imagine that staring at yours might be amusing.

  9. Janie--Remember when you were Lola & blogger decided I didn't want to follow you? I must have clicked on to become a "new" follower at least 50 times. Now I have discovered a new problem. Your blog is on my list of "blogs I follow". However, there has been nothing on my computer lately. The last post it gave me was January 1st. I found this when I was looking to see if you had added my "award" & saw there was a "newer post". If I unfollow you & try to re-follow, can I get back in? I don't want to go to January 1 & have to click newer post over & over to get your most recent one, as I just did. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

    PS--I didn't see the 2nd HANGOVER but I LOVED the 1st one!!

  10. Fran, I sent you an email. EVERYBODY: WHAT SHOULD FRAN DO? I know what I had to do to make my blog private, but I'm not a member of any private blogs so I don't know much about how to handle that end.
