LET'S VISIT SHADY DELL MUSIC & MEMORIES

Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

Today I send you away. Go! Shoo!

Please visit Shady Dell Music & Memories.

Now sing us on our way, Helen.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

I remember how excited I was when Helen Reddy won a Grammy for I Am Woman. Helen thanked God because SHE makes all things possible.

It's always made sense to me that God is male and female at the same time. God created the universe, as a woman creates a child. I'm not trying to create controversy; I don't want to argue. It's simply what I believe.

  1. You'll get no argument from me! I had a 45 of "I Am Woman" when I was a teen and played it incessantly.

  2. Okay, I will go to Shady Dell Knight's Music & Memories...but I've already been there once this morning. It was my first stop. If I don't see anything new, where do I go then?

Just checked...yep, Shady has a great post but it hasn't changed yet. I'll keep watching it...

    1. I think that song helped the feminist movement by drawing attention to it and because of its positive, inspirational lyrics.

  5. I have visited him already and read about his fond memories of those dancers. This song was such a big hit but I remember it being parodied by SCTV so I end up giggling a little. I know bad of me

  6. I agree with your belief--OH WAIT--I mean, I uh, I stopped reading because you shoo'd us away. If I could throw down a smoke pellet and disappear right now,I would.

  9. Hey Janie, gentle readers and Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!

Oh how I remember that song and I also remember Helen getting that Grammy. My song, "I am Dude, hear me Roar!", was a massive hit in Russia, evidently.

    I'm so outta' here...

    Gary :)
