THE PHENOMENAL WOMAN HAS LEFT US
Maya Angelou died earlier today. I am sad, but she was 86 years old and lived a life full of hardships and honors.
Hi Janie .. I heard an amazing tribute to her this morning ... I must listen again it was on our BBC Radio 4 programme this a.m. ... she was an incredible woman .. sad to see her go - but she had a long life .. difficult though it may have been, yet taught us much .. cheers Hilary
Hair people are helpful that way. Sam, who cares for my golden tresses, always explains "young people" things to me, like YOLO. I had no idea what it meant, and I quite often forget to Google such things.
A life well lived and an enduring legacy...
ReplyDeleteYes. A regal woman.
DeleteI heard about Maya Angelou's death this morning. She was an incredible woman. The world has lost a great mind.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I am very sad also.
This isn't a loss that I'll forget about in a couple of days. I'm sure I'll talk about her for the rest of my life.
DeleteMuch like Nelson Mandela. I shall never forget him either.
DeleteCertain people stay with us forever. We carry them in our hearts.
DeleteHi Janie,
ReplyDeleteSuch a phenomenal lady. She will be missed but never forgotten. She was one of the main stories on the news in Britain.
Have a peaceful day, my new friend. Glad to have made your acquaintance and my mug is now linked into your site.
Gary :)
Thank you so much for joining us, Gary. My day is peaceful, and I hope yours is, too.
Deleteshe will be missed!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. You are a phenomenal woman, too.

ReplyDeleteShe is immortal because of her books and film appearances.
DeleteMy favorite hair gal told me that last night. :(

DeleteShe was a force for good to be reckoned with and she will certainly be missed.
ReplyDeleteThe world is a poorer place without her, but a richer place because of who she was.
ReplyDeleteWell said, chica.
DeleteOh, I didn't know. She was a phenomenal woman you don't forget.
