You shan't see me for a while. I must edit, pay loads of attention to Franklin and Penelope, and continue to clean my house. Cleaning represents a never ending battle. As soon as I finish cleaning my house, the first part that I cleaned is dirty. As soon as I finish the laundry, more laundry is in the hamper.
Admittedly, I am fussy.
I hope to see you for The Battle of the Bands on October 21st. If I can't make it, I'll let you know.
A gift for you: a better photo of Penelope. Less fear in the eyes, perhaps?
a new love
Sing us out, please, Paul.

Good morning, dear Janie! (Yawning) Oh my...it's time for me to rise and shine. I think I see the sun coming up over the horizon even as I write this (or maybe it's one of them there ghostly orbs).
ReplyDeletePenelope does look happier and more calm. I hope those noisy workers soon pack up for good.
I have a BOTB starting tomorrow, dear Janie. You have 7 days to vote and I hope you can find 5 minutes during that span to come over and see me. Remember Sid Vicious? He isn't in this battle. Then why did I bring it up? No reason.
I think somebody's sleepy (me), so I will be saying good night. Have a great week with your canine companions!
How can it be time for BOTB already? Has time sped up?
DeleteNo Sid? Who do you bother me?
How many more questions may I ask?
Oh Yes, Sweet Pea looks so much better.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy happy gud dug !
I will miss you.
Tomorrow I start blogging again. With a new look to my blog.
cheers, parsnip
I will try to look at the gud different looking gud blog.
DeleteHi Janie - she does look happier .. enjoy the two of them while you work away .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThey stick pretty tightly to the office as I work. They are glued to the area around me.
DeleteI know how it goes, Janie! I will probably be taking a hiatus myself soon to work on my book.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new adventures with Penelope. She is a beauty!
Love,
Jessica
We thank you. Penelope must learn she is a beauty. Then she'll have more self-confidence.
DeletePenelope is so damn cute! I feel your pain with the cleaning. It's so unsatisfying. "Well, it's clean now, but in a couple of days, we're right back to where we were." Have fun editing...presuming they're good manuscripts.
ReplyDeleteI'm so damn cute, too. Sad I have no current photo.
DeletePuppy! PUPPY PUPPY PUPPY PUPPY!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I have trouble controlling myself around PUPPY!
Good luck with all your cleaning and things and whatnot!
I wuv puppies and kitties and lots of animules.
DeleteShe does look more relaxed! She's a lucky girl, she just doesn't know it yet.
ReplyDeleteShe's learning. She had a good weekend.
DeleteLove Good Day Sunshine! Great way to start my day.
ReplyDeleteI hate housecleaning! Hate it. I vacuum constantly because of the dogs. But I just hired a maid service to come in every 2 weeks. I'm excited. I just hope I can continue to afford it. It's so nice to have everything so nice and clean: in the corners and behind the furniture which I don't always get to...
Great picture of Penelope!! She's so cute!

Get a Roomba, one of the more advanced models that can pick up pet hair. My Mrs. Roomba is one of the loves of my life.
DeletePenelope is looking good. Hopefully, Franklin is getting her better trained. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHe'll never give up on her, nor will I.
DeleteWhat a beautiful doggy smile!
ReplyDeleteWhat's better than the smile on a dog's face? Perhaps a baby's smile.
DeleteIt's good to see her looking more relaxed. Happy editing.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stephen.
DeletePenelope looks happier. Less nervous. Gradual process, I'm sure. She is a pretty girl.
ReplyDeleteLoved the video with the music. They look so very young now, don't they? And two of them are gone already. The years fly by too quickly. :)
Paul and Ringo are old men. John's death hit me hard. With George, we knew it was coming, but it still hurt.
DeleteJohn was really sad for me, too, because I had been a John fan since I firsat saw them on Ed Sullivan when I was 12. All the girls I knew loved Paul...and he is sweet...but I had such a crush on John.
DeleteGive my love to your puppies--see you later!!
ReplyDeleteI'll kiss them for you and then send you some dog slobber.
DeleteAll the best with editing. I hate cleaning the house, but do it out of necessity. Hope the cleaning goes well. Penelope looks like she's smiling.
ReplyDeleteDogs and editing are the priorities. I squeeze in the cleaning as I'm able. Yes, I think Penelope is smiling. She had a happy weekend.
DeleteThat's fine do what you need to do
ReplyDeleteJanie all the best with editing. And the house cleaning etc. We all need more time!
ReplyDeleteI need a wife, or a dog who dusts with his tail.
DeleteOh I know what you mean about dust, cleaning and all that jazz. I was lazy today since it was Thanksgiving Monday here. Penelope is so, so sweet looking and so happy to have her picture taken
ReplyDeleteShe made quite a bit of progress over the weekend.
DeleteI may need to do this soon. Falling behind in house work again.
ReplyDeleteSee you for the next BOTB. :)
Good luck with the editing! Penelope looks good in that picture.
ReplyDeleteShe's starting to come into her own.
DeleteGreat pic of Penelope. We'll be here when you get back.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fascinating that I can suspend time for everyone while I work?
DeleteSweet Penelope looks so happy. Love the picture! Take care and happy cleaning, if that's possible. :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I sing while I clean. It helps me, but makes the neighbors cry in pain.
DeleteI read back and now know the story of Penelope. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out the new kid on the blog. I love her dearly.
DeleteThe 21st? Are you doing a delayed battle?

I didn't intend to!
DeleteSuch a sweet dog. Unconditional love.
