THE WOMAN WITH THE BROKEN FINGERS: THE SPANISH INQUISITION CONTINUES

Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

Yesterday I started answering fifty questions passed on to me by two bloggers (see the first part HERE.) I got through seven of the questions, so here we go with . . .

8. OTP (One true pair, favorite fictional couple?)

Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. Duh.

9. Favorite Show?

  1. The Sopranos
  2. Breaking Bad
  3. Sex and the City
  4. Seinfeld
  5. The Mary Tyler Moore Show

10. Favorite Bands?

Andi said Kansas on this one. I don't know if she noticed it, but I pointed out that some of the members of Kansas went to my high school. They are quite a bit older than I am. I never met any of them, and have never seen Kansas perform, though I'd like to do so. I like Beck (does Beck count as a band?), America, Green Day, Bon Jovi, and The Beatles.

11. Something you miss?

Small boobs, small butt.

12. Favorite Song?

Oh, gosh, I don't know. Yes I do! I sang this with Paul in RFK Stadium. It was pretty cool.

13. How old are you?

55

14. Zodiac sign?

Pisces. Someone did my "chart" recently. It seemed quite accurate. I wonder if it was accurate because the descriptions apply to most people.

15. Quality to look for in a partner.

Sanity

16. Favorite Quote?

Out of the ash
I rise with my red hair
And I eat men like air.

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

La di da, la di da, la la.

Hey, Boo.

And we laughed and sang la, la, la, la.

This stopping point seems a good one for today. My fingers aren't really broken, but Filante threatened me.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

  1. I wish I could say I missed small boobs and small butt. The only time I had that was in the infant nursery.

    1. My mom used to say that nothing fit me right because I didn't have a butt. Well, I have one now, and I'm glad she's not here to see it because I'd never hear the "end" of it

    1. I had to look up OTP. I forgot that the definition was in the question.

  3. Hello again, dear Janie Junebug!

I'm getting carpal tunnel from commenting on these bucket lists! :)

Re: #9 - Yesterday Mrs. Shady and I took your advice and started watching Last Tango. It's our Pick To Click! Now it's your turn to give Fargo an honest try!

#10 - You forgot to list that legendary band Shecky Shady & the Guffaws. "Lock up your wives and daughters - we're coming to your town!"

    #11 - I don't miss those things.

#13 - Ha! No wonder you aren't familiar with my music and memories. You're too young - a spring chicken.

#14 - My sign is "Shirt & shoes required." Please tell me Pisces and Scorpio people mesh well together. Are we compatible... or combatible?

    #15 - (see my answer to #11)

    Happy Tuesday, dear friend Janie!

    1. I don't care if we're supposed to be compatible or not. You, me, Cherdo. We should start a band or a poetry group or go out and demonstrate in favor of something we like. "Lock up your wives and daughters" reminds me of a story The Hurricane told me. I hope I remember to put it on my blog sometime.

    1. That's scary. I'm Feb. 23rd. Will you reveal your date? Now that I think about it, I believe we figured out before that our birthdays are close together. Do you wanna be in a band with Shady, Cherdo, and me?

  5. Pride and Prejudice is a very good book. I also loved sex and the city. "I eat men like air" loved it. Enjoy your week.

  6. Green Day and Bon Jovi- fuck yeah! I feel like I know a ton of bands that you would like.

I'm very glad your fingers aren't broken. I thought I was gonna have to beat somebody up today!

    1. The title is a play on a poem called The Man With The Broken Fingers. His fingers are broken because he's being tortured. I hate that poem. I don't remember who wrote it.

    1. Wasn't it great? I swear I'm going to get my butt back. I don't know if I want to get rid of the boobs. A lot of women have surgery to get boobs like mine.

  8. Sanity is always a good thing to have in a partner. I wish I knew that when I was younger. ;0)

  9. Great answers. I like all of the TV shows you mentioned except Sex and the City. Since I'm a guy this probably isn't a surprise.

    1. You need to get more in touch with your feminine side, Stephen. Go ahead. Watch a little Sex and the City. You'll love it.

  10. You're hilarious. Sanity's the first quality I seek in a partner too. Thus, I'm still single.
    Thanks for the laughter, JJ.
    Be well. xo

  12. Always had the boobs - the butt is still missing. Sanity as opposed to money - I'd have to think longer about this. I'm shallow and poor.
And you have lots more questions to go... I'm here laughing and enjoying your stuff, but to do this myself would be a scream. What a challenge!!

  14. Ah, Mr. Darcy. Love him. As far as the desirable quality in a partner, that's what we are looking for, not what we have to have ourselves, right? Cause otherwise, I'm in trouble. :)

  17. There are, at the very least, two answers that tickle me perfectly. One is number 15, absolutely spectacular. The other, I shall leave to your and other's interpretation.

    1. Like we were in almost the top row of RFK Stadium and like he was a little dot very far away on the stage. But I sang with him.

  22. Sanity's a wonderful quality, as long as it doesn't preclude frequent bouts of silliness.
