HERE HE IS: MISTER AMERICA

 Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

I have a great photo for you today.

LOOK AT ALL THE MAKEUP HE HAS ON! INCLUDING RACCOON EYE LINER!

In this early photo of J.D. Vance, in addition to learning he doesn't have a neck, we see the beginnings of a drag queen.

This is a man who wants to come out of the closet. Or maybe he was starting to transition.

We certainly know now why he grows a beard.

It's too bad he repressed his true self. He could have been a much nicer guy. Maybe he did it because a gay man wouldn't be accepted in his Appalachian hometown.

Except I've heard and read that he didn't really grow up in Appalachia. Does anyone know if that's true?

I'm falling in love with Tim Walz. I was already in love with Kamala.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

  1. Your northern neighbours, for the most part, are fervently wishing and hoping that Kamala and Tim will vanquish the orange monster and his cohorts!

    1. Thank you, Debbie, and the rest of our northern neighbors who have been sympathetic to our plight.

  3. I heard JDs maternal grandparents were from Kentucky and moved to a small town in Ohio and that is where he grew up. But it is hard, I'm sure, to track a guy who's changed his name several times. ;)
LOVE Harris and Walz!! :) :)

    1. I just looked it up. Snopes says: "Vance did not grow up in Appalachia, but in suburban Ohio, in a house in a neighborhood considered "middle class" at the time he was growing up."

  4. What a cute political cartoon of Walz and his little piggy! . . . hmmm, that doesn't sound quite right, does it?

  5. They don’t come much creepier than J.D. Vance. I think we are all rooting for Kamala and Tim. I know I am.

  7. I've heard JD's "story" about his upbringing is largely untrue but then is it a surprise that a Republican lied???

PS That Guyliner is laid on thick!

    1. His story earned him some bucks, I'm sure, what with the book selling well and then movie rights, so he had a financial interest in inventing a background.

  8. I love them both. They have given me hope that they will be the ones to beat the orange menace in November. I hope that they beat him so resoundingly that tRump can't claim that there was voter fraud.

  9. As I recall he grew up in southern Ohio, near the Kentucky border, but his grandparents lived in Kentucky and he spent a lot of time there. He IS awfully made-up in that photo, but if it's a still from a TV appearance it could be TV makeup. (I'm just giving him the benefit of the doubt. I'm NOT voting for him!)

    1. Maybe it was a TV appearance, but the makeup "artist" was pretty heavy handed.

  11. Is there something wrong with me that I don't like or believe politicians? Any and all of them, mind you. So, no cheers, but I vote for the lesser yuckier with you
