Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,
Please make a special effort to visit my blog child Rachel today at When a Lion Sleeps, Let It Sleep.
Rachel has a guest post by Megan, who is transgender. You can also read Rachel's interview with Megan by clicking HERE.
No matter how much we know, we can always learn more.
This framed flag from Italy hangs on my living room wall. PACE means PEACE.
And Willy Dunne Wooters says:
Fab Four, will you please sing us out?
Infinities of love,
Janie Junebug
Yay for Rachel and Megan and Janie (did ya catch that equal opportunity "yay?" That's how I'm rollin').
ReplyDeleteWe appreciate equal opportunity comments.
DeleteSecond time today I've heard that great Beatles song. What a classic and always worth considering the message.
ReplyDeleteArlee Bird
Tossing It Out
It's a great song. I'm not surprised that you've come across it more than once.
DeletePeace Janie, you are one cool woman.
ReplyDeleteRight back at ya, Inger.
Delete"Life is very short, and there's no time
ReplyDeleteFor fussing and fighting, my friend.."
Will always celebrate the diversity that makes us each wonderfully unique.
Gary :)
You're cool, Gary.
DeleteI will have to check out the post. It sounds really interesting. Thanks for the Beatles song. I love them!
ReplyDeleteI've been in love with The Beatles since the British invasion began.
DeleteI adore all the Beatles' songs. We Can Work it Out is a great one! Love that Italian flag on your wall. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter paid a couple of euros for the flag. I paid $450 to have it framed.
DeleteGoing over now. I agree with you we can always learn and love is the most important thing.
ReplyDeleteYou're my superhero.
DeleteA great song that goes well with the topic. I wish every person would be like Rachel and truly open their arms to every person no matter their sex, religion, beliefs..you name it.
ReplyDeleteRachel is so young, and already so wise.
DeleteDear Janie, both you and I have worked out so much in our lives. One of the joys of growing older is looking back and seeing how everything did work out and how friends were part of that. Peace.
ReplyDeletePeace to you, too, Dee.
DeleteI love your wall hanging. Hope you are doing well, Janie.
ReplyDeleteI feel great. Thanks for joining us.
DeleteJust dropped by to say Hi, so Hi,
ReplyDeleteHi, sweetie!
DeleteMy comment keeps disappearing! Argh! I visited the blog that you recommended, JJ. It was excellent. We can't change our views or other's views if we don't communicate. I am so disgusted with the hate and bigotry spouted by some "Christians" that I find it hard to enter a church. I have always liked that Beatles song. They look so young and wholesome! Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteIt drives me nuts when my comments disappear. John makes such funny faces in those early "videos." Paul says that John would always try to make them laugh.
DeleteI can even pronounce "Pace" correctly! Learned from an Italian.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. People sometimes ask me, Is that for Pace, Florida? They pronounce it with a long A and a soft C. I have no idea where Pace, Florida, is, so I tell them what it means.
DeleteA very important message to get out there by Megan for all those kids that are going through the same things as she has gone through, What a courageous young woman she is!
ReplyDeleteAnd how fortunate is Rachel to have you as her mother, Janie!!
thanks for sharing.
Rachel has two mommies, but I've never met her main mommy.
DeleteAwesome song! It's in my current's book playlist ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm all for peace. I say love and let others love! In the world as it is, isn't that better to spread around than hatred? Some people make me sad. But your flag is making me smile, so yay for that! :D
I'm glad the flag makes you happy.
DeleteAlways enlightening!
ReplyDeleteI'm proud of Rachel for publishing these posts.
DeleteI have visited Rachel's blog. It's a very good post!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sherry! You are an open-minded lady.
