FISHDUCKY TRIES YET AGAIN TO SEDUCE WILLY DUNNE WOOTERS

Fishducky of fishducky, finally! thinks she can seduce Willy Dunne Wooters by rubbing it in that I'm The Queen of Grammar, and every now and then, I might correct someone. Thus, she sends me funny grammar-based cartoons. She knows WDW will see them and think about all the times I've mentioned his grammatical errors.

Don't worry, Willy Dunne Wooters.
I won't let the rich lady touch you.

  1. I'm in the doghouse this morning, Janie Junebug. Last night Mrs. Shady and I were making whoopee. In the heat of passion I called out my own name.

    (BA-DUM-BUMP)

Happy Wednesday to you, dear Janie!

    1. That's understandable. In Annie Hall, Woody Allen's character says something to the effect of, Hey, don't knock masturbation. It's sex with someone I love.

  2. Wait a minute. Now I'm confused. It has to be, '''better than me." Oy!

    1. It's I. People usually say me, but it's not really and truly correct. Put "am" on the end of a sentence. He's not better than I AM. You know that's correct because you wouldn't say He's not better than me am. Of course, some people might say exactly that. It's the wonderful world of grammar.

  6. Step away from the Wooters, fishducky! I might have to do a gal pal throw down, and you don't want to see that happen!

  7. We need more grammar queens to protect our wonderful language. Darn tootin' we do.

    1. The saying is "ayes," but I bet you can make up something with "eyes."

  9. I don't know if my eyeballs can stand much more of this. I think it would be a great time to start hibernating.

Blessings and Bear hugs while I hibernate.

    1. Cherdo and I are not the huntress type. We talk a good game, but we're pretty well behaved (other than staying up too late at night).

  15. Janie, I think fishducky actually likes the photo! Here in Texas I get to see grammar murdered periodically!

    1. Fishducky has such a good sense of humor that I knew she would like the photo. I don't think Texas is alone in murdering grammar.

  16. I get a lot of strange looks when I say "better than I" rather than "better than me." On the other hand, I get strange looks most of the time when I use "me" correctly, as when I say "join Liz and me." "No, no, it should be Liz and I!" That's because they were told not to say "Me and Liz went somewhere," for instance, when they were very young... so they assume the word "me" is almost always incorrect.

  17. I sometimes have to smack my coworker because she'll say, "Contact Andrea or I if you have any questions."

And it's always "drug." Why, why, WHY???????

    GAH!!!!!!!
