THE SUNDAY MORNING BARK

 Sunday morning in my neighborhood:

When Franklin finished, the chihuahuas next door yapped about their dad giving them a bath. They thought they would freeze to death because the temperature was only 80°.

The two Labs who live behind us said they were starving but their mom wouldn't give them any treats.

The dogs of this neighborhood suffer mightily.

Franklin was so tired after he vented. He needed a nap.

We miss you all. We aren't around much now because work is hopping. My brain is exhausted at the end of the day. I also avoid my computer/phone screen during the evening because my eyes are sensitive to light, which can cause migraines.

But we love you, and we'll drop in here as often as we can!

  1. This post is hilarious and I LOVE poor, hard-done-by Franklin's film opus!

  2. I wasn't even working at a computer all day long and was still avoiding being on it this past week. Just was one of those weeks.
Sounds like the dogs in your neighborhood suffer mightily. ;)

    1. They certainly do and they like to talk to each other about it.

  3. Love the video and the photos! ♥ “Poor“ Franklin, being tortured so! And you really nailed the characteristics of different dog breeds. Zoey is part-lab, and she's always starving! ☺ No worries, we'll be here whenever you want to post something. Life often gets in the way of blogging. My eyes bother me too, sometimes. Give them rest! (I should take my own advice, eh?)

  6. Aww, happy puppy! My dog goes out frequently to say hi to her canine neighbors and the mail deliverers.

I understand the brain drain from work. How is it eight hours at a desk can be as exhausting as a marathon?

    1. My brain is fried when I finish work. I have so many problems to solve, and it's hard. I also feel as if I'm out of niceness at the end of the day. Yet, I like my job most of the time.

  7. It appears that Franklin lives a good life! Take care of yourself! I have family members who are prone to migraines, and I know they are no fun! Wishing you all good things!

  8. I also need a nap after I complain about having my nails cut.

  9. Moms are so mean, Franklin. I wouldn't put up with it if I were you. Start a union for fair treatment for dogs. It sounds like you'd get plenty of members.

    1. Penelope is more likely to be the one who would start a union with all of her complaints about the way she's abused.

  10. Our Zoey barks at everything when she's outside. It makes me crazy. I guess it's good that you're busy? I'm busy over here getting called to sub at the drop of a dime. After a noisy day in the cafeteria, I love to retreat to my quiet home, but when Zoey starts barking, my tranquility shatters and I start screaming, "Shut UP!!" and other colorful words, lol.

    1. Franklin doesn't really bark much. He can see people, or cats, through the gap in the gate. That's when he gets upset. He's in the house with me most of the time.
