I'M ALL VACCINATED, BABY!

 Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

Mitchell is excited at Moving With Mitchell because he and San Geraldo have appointments for their first dose of the vaccine, so it occurred to me that I should mention

AS OF APRIL 23, I'M ALL VACCINATED, BABY!!!!!

The vaccine

didn't give me COVID

 didn't alter my DNA

wasn't made out of fetal cells

didn't contain a microchip

didn't cause grotesque side effects

didn't cause anyone in my presence to become ill, sterilized, or grow 3 heads.

I still wear my mask when I go to the grocery store. If I need a booster shot in the future, I'll get it.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

  3. Congrats, Janie! I got my first AstraZeneca shot on March 13 but in Canada we have to wait 16 weeks (4 months) for our second shot because we don't have huge vaccine supplies available like you do in the USA. Now I hear that at the end of June (my 2nd shot time), we won't have any AstraZeneca at all. Our medical experts are looking at whether we can "mix and match" vaccines and get a 2nd shot of Moderna or Phizer instead.

    1. Oh wow, that's disheartening. I really hope that you are able to receive your second dose without any hiccups.

    2. All I can say is thank god for Joe. He's the reason we have this plentiful supply. If we still had the dick in the white house, few would be vaccinated.

  4. I thought the jab was in the rear, so imagine my embarrassment when the nurse came in to find me with pants and bloomers dropped!

  5. Yay! That's wonderful news! It's a relief isn't it?

  6. So glad!
Just sent a letter off. :)

  7. I wonder how many more (or less) people would get tested if they knew it was in the rear. So happy for you! Although, you know, they're really sneaky with those microchips. (On the other hand, I hear you end up getting HBO for free.)

    1. Yes, HBO is free but I can't see it because the movies play on my forehead.

  8. Hopefully blogger will let this one through.
Congratulations. I am at least six weeks away from my second shot.

    1. Is it the same for you as with Debra? You have to wait because not enough vaccine is available?

  9. Such great news! Congratulations!

  10. It's very good news that you have had your second shot, Janie. It is hard to fathom that people still are fearful of being vaccinated, and harbour suspicions of all kinds. I saw a fellow on TV who said that he would not do it because he thought it was "Bill Gates plotting to kill us all". Bet he has a MAGA hat!

  11. Yay, me too! And after self-administering a covid test today I rather wish it had been in the rear!

  12. Good for you. The husband and I are cleared to do Volunteer work when they open up again. Still have to wear a mask but I feel good that I did it.

  14. That's great, Janie Junebug - I'm glad you're all done. (other than possible boosters)

That photo is pretty funny :)

  15. Well, who knows?! The government could be tracking you RIGHT NOW! You could be glowing at night, in your sleep! :)

    1. I glowed in my sleep last night but it was because I'd had the old man in my bed earlier in the day.

  18. I stayed home for a year and never felt safe when I ventured out because was a high risk of serious illness and death of covid. The second dose of the vaccine was no picnic for me. My take on that was how much worse it would have been if the vaccine was the real illness, the real covi-19. I can't help to be a bit annoyed at those you are scared of the vaccine, but not of covid-19.

    1. They claim they aren't afraid of having COVID because "it's like having the flu." Well, some people die from the flu and plenty have died from COVID. I wouldn't take that risk. Besides, I'd endanger other people.

  20. Welcome to our club, Janie. It's nice here :D

  21. I, too, am fully vaccinated and if a booster is needed so be it. Better than getting covid and dying!!! As for side effects, nothing more than a sore arm. No bfd as we used to say :)

  22. That is wonderful, Janie! Doing a happy dance...hahaha My husband and I have received our first vaccine. We've another appointment in a few weeks for the second but at least we're quite protected now. And we didn't grow an extra head or two either. :)

    1. So good to see you, Martha. I could probably use an extra head but didn't receive that particular side effect.
