FRANKLIN FRIDAY: WE ALL HAVE TO VISIT THE VET SOON

Hi Every Buddy. It's me, Franklin. This is me, in case you forgot what I look like:

Yeah, I know I'm handsome.

Mom says we have to visit the vet as soon as she can take us. Penlapee needs her yearly check-up. I need my half-year blood work. I eat special prescription food because I'm in the early stages of kidney disease. I dunno what that means. I feel fine.

Mom is also kinda worried because she was petting me and found a lump in the middle of my chest. She doesn't remember it being there before, but Mom forgets stuff all the time.

Maybe the vet can do something good to Mom. She probably needs vaccines and should have her poop and pee checked, like the vet does to us.

Sorry I'm not in a very good mood. It's hot and I don't like to go to the vet, but he does give me cookies because I am so good at sit and shake hands and some other stuff.

I am an agreeable dog.

Okay I love you bye bye.

This is my perfect sit that earns cookies.
Penlapee only sits when she feels like it.

    1. Dr. Kieth said the lump was a fatty two more.

Oh. Penlapee says it's spelled tumor. It's not a bad thing, but I don't like having some buddy use the word fatty about me.

  4. Hi Franklin! This is Zoey. You are very handsome, yes you are. I went to the vet the other day. They cut my toenails and it hurt and I was bleeding all over the floor. Then they told me I was overweight and that I had to cut down on my food. Then they gave me pokey shots! I was not a happy dog but I kept my tail wagging the whole time because I'm polite. I hope your visit goes better than mine. I will be thinking about you.

    1. Zoey, that's horrible. The vet said the lump on my chest is a fatty tumor. It won't hurt me, but they shouldn't use the word fatty about me. I know you are not overweight. No buddy should use words like fatty and overweight about us.

    1. It turns out that both of us are fine. We gained a little weight and we won't be walking it off because it's too hot to go for walks and the mosquitoes bite Mom.
