Because that's what it is, an invasion, violation of space.

I live in an old house, and the oldest part has a stone foundation, so rodents find their way in down cellar. Shudder. Fortunately, one of the cats, Phoebe, thinks it's her mission to patrol down cellar, and she does a fine job of it. Two mice decided to try living upstairs, but she found them and killed them. She's always been built for comfort and prefers this indoor hunting option that wasn't available at the other house.

There's some stuff called "Fresh Cab" that you can put in the linen closet. It's got mostly balsa fir in it, and it's supposed to repel rodents. I put it in the upstairs place where i suspect the mousies were, and have not seen any since. Neither has Phoebe, and she checks on a regular basis.megan blogshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04555646904983619596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501852053743373610.post-16706342025292915722013-11-12T17:19:59.688-05:002013-11-12T17:19:59.688-05:00Is that a candle box in he first photo? Is that a candle box in he first photo?John Going Gentlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14958171262765033946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501852053743373610.post-87344647007930122082013-11-12T17:18:53.167-05:002013-11-12T17:18:53.167-05:00Thank you. Red is my favorite color, but I've never had the cojones to paint an entire room red. Yet. Most of the house is in paler shades of green and pineapple upside down cake, (Cool name for the color, eh? Perfect description of it, too.) but I painted one bathroom an electric blue. (Rather startling, but I like it.) Now you've got me intrigued with the idea of painting a room red. (If people don't like it, they don't have to go in there...)

Glad you discovered the rodent entry points before they got too comfortable in your house. When we removed the two enclosed steps from the kitchen to our family room, we discovered a bedding area. Ewwwww! Made me sick to think those nasty things were breeding in there at one time, so I know how you feel.Susan Flett Swiderskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09425315552148200073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501852053743373610.post-91519897411083093072013-11-12T01:01:08.778-05:002013-11-12T01:01:08.778-05:00Love the blue foyer!
