Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,
I could provide an obvious answer to this question, such as O Holy Night, but I prefer the unusual. So I'm going with the hippopotamus.
Happy Christmas Eve from Princess and Me!
Infinities of love,
Janie Junebug
This has nothing to do with Christmas, but it makes me laugh my ass off:

My favorite carol pops up on my blog tomorrow, though all day today I have been humming Cher's "DJ Play a Christmas Song!"

Don't tell me, let me guess. Your favorite is Mariah Carey singing that brilliant Christmas tune "All I Want For Christmas Is To Blow You."
DeleteI like many...all vintage from Las Baxter...Ray Coniff Singers, New Christy Minstrels.... but I think it's a tie between Vanessa Williams singing I Wonder why I Wonder and. Christina Perri's Something about December.. a Merry Christmas and happy. Yuletide to you, your mother and Princess!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mads! I hope you had a lovely Christmas Day.
DeleteI love the Hippopotamus carol too! I can't pick just one favourite carol -- I love them all! How big of a sap am I, eh? Merry Christmas, Janie and Princess!
ReplyDeleteI've been singing carols for weeks and Princess never complains.
DeleteI actually have a hippopotamus that I display in my house every December. Yes, it's an actual, official Christmas decoration, which was sent to me by my good pal Amy, the ~Flying Aardvark~.

Although I always refer to him as the "Hippie Potty-Mouth", what I do like about him is that he is a "vegetarian", just like teacher said. And just like I have been since 1984.
Peace on this planet begins with vegetarianism. You know, like how "The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the ox shall feed together; and a little child shall lead them"?
I'm not the "little child" who shall lead them, BUT(!)... I *am* a little child.
Merry Christmas, Janie! Bless & Be Blessed!!

Who wouldn't want a hippopotamus decoration? I'd probably keep that out all year.
DeleteMerry Christmas, Janie!
ReplyDeleteMuch love to you, Anne.
DeleteThe poop meme is my favorite this year. I have no idea what my favorite carol might be although I do enjoy a hippopotamus.
ReplyDeleteThe poop meme is great because it's true. That's definitely the face of a pooping toddler.
DeleteThanks for the funnies. Happy Holidays.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Sandra!
