LAST WEEK I SAW SOME EAGLES

 Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

Last Saturday night I went out with a few friends.

It had been about 10 years since I last went to a concert, so I decided it was time to get out of the house to see The Eagles. They did not disappoint.

They are outstanding musicians, who were very popular when I was in high school. The music I enjoyed during those years is still the music I love––at least in most cases.

Don Henley was there. He looks great. I would have been happy to go home with him, but he didn't approach this wannabe groupie.

The others were Joe Walsh (so funny in his interactions with the audience), Timothy Schmit, and Vince Gill, who has joined The Eagles since Glenn Frey died in 2016. Frey's son, Deacon, also played and sang lead on several numbers. He was great, and he's a nice, young hottie.

They finished with my favorite––Best Of My Love––and moved into my All Time Top Five Favorite Concerts. No one will ever take the place of #1, which was a guy named Paul who played at RFK Stadium on July 4th, 1989.

Other than a break of about 20 minutes, The Eagles played for three hours. Every minute was wonderful.

I've been exhausted all week. I'm glad I can relax this weekend, but if I could see The Eagles again, I'd do it in heartbeat. I'd probably have to take out a loan, though. Even the cheap sets were very expensive. It's going to take a while for my finances to recover. Rebekah, a great lover of concerts, went with me and said it was the most she had ever paid for a concert ticket.

They were worth it.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

Why did The Dude hate The Eagles, man?

THE SUNDAY MORNING BARK

 Sunday morning in my neighborhood:

When Franklin finished, the chihuahuas next door yapped about their dad giving them a bath. They thought they would freeze to death because the temperature was only 80°.

The two Labs who live behind us said they were starving but their mom wouldn't give them any treats.

The dogs of this neighborhood suffer mightily.

Franklin was so tired after he vented. He needed a nap.

We miss you all. We aren't around much now because work is hopping. My brain is exhausted at the end of the day. I also avoid my computer/phone screen during the evening because my eyes are sensitive to light, which can cause migraines.

But we love you, and we'll drop in here as often as we can!
