Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,
Perhaps you recall that when we last visited the superheroes on my mantel, Barack and Joe were holding hands. I thought it was because they're still happy in their bromance.
It took Kay G (Georgia Girl With An English Heart) to make me realize that not everyone was pleased. She wrote in her comment: Obama doesn't look happy to hold hands with Biden!
I took a closer look and saw it was Joe who had grabbed Barack's hand.
He was pleased and continued to smile that big-Joe-grin of his.
Hillary said, I'm sure we can reach an agreement that will please everyone. President Obama, if President Biden promises not to grab your hand again, then will you turn around and stand by his side? President Biden, please accept Vice President Harris' offer of a hug. She can comfort you in your time of need. Just don't smell her hair.
And that's where the superheroes stand (they don't bend at the waist so they can't sit down). Will Joe and Kamala hug? Will Barack turn around? Will Ruth put down her gavel? Will Hillary get the respect she deserves?
Will the crisis on the mantel be resolved?
I sure hope so. It's late and I need to get to bed.
I dissent, says Justice Ginsburg. I don't have to go to work in the morning and I want to stay up late to watch a movie. I haven't seen Dirty Dancing in years. Nobody puts Ruthie in a corner!
Infinities of love,
Janie Junebug
These are all so realistic they’re spooky.
ReplyDeleteThey are very well made.
DeleteThis is better than any soap opera on TV! I'm on the edge of my seat wondering how it will all work out!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew!
DeleteJanie, whatever it is you're drinking, I want some! This is so much more creative than me finding my plushies (okay, teddy bears) in compromising positions around the house. I'm going to be chuckling all day.
ReplyDeleteIf I can make you happy, then the agony of pulling words out of my feeble brain is worth it. And it's Diet Pepsi most of the time, or chocolate milk, although I do enjoy a nice margarita.
DeleteThat Mantel Show of yours is very interesting.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Why, thank you.
DeleteDo you collect these figures? They are recognizable, unlike so many I've seen for sale
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm collecting them, but I don't have all that are available. I add one or two at a time.
DeleteLOL -- I love these little figurines. I hope the crisis is resolved to everyone's satisfaction. :)
ReplyDeleteSo do I. They're still squabbling and no one can make a decision.
DeleteWho knew such drama could play out right on your mantel?
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that these people like living on my mantel.
DeleteHAHA! I love your imagination, Janie. We need to be entertained these days with all the craziness out there!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Martha. I enjoy coming up with little stories to entertain myself.
DeleteInteresting moves by the people on the mantel.
ReplyDeleteThey keep life interesting on the mantel.
DeleteYou're way more entertaining than the news lately, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth. I have to keep myself amused.
DeleteHa ha! Thankfully no-one's made a doll of Boris Johnson yet. (AS far as I know unless it's a voodoo doll.)
ReplyDeleteThe company that made my superheroes made a trump. I don't have him. His hair is removable and he has his middle finger sticking out.
DeleteSo funny! I will try to type this as I am chuckling! I am glad that you made sure all these characters did the right thing! LOL! You know, I do think that we might have been childhood playmates at one time. Have you ever lived in Georgia? (And I do mean that in a good way, it would have been so nice to think that we have. Every place that I lived, I enjoyed the friends that I made along the way.)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely never lived in Georgia, but I've made a lot of lovely friends along the way, too, including my blogging friends.
DeleteEnjoy your weekend.
