I'M A PERSON

I am ugly.
I am fat.

I am beautiful.
I am glad.

That man can call me whatever he wants:
     pig, dog, shit, cow.
Some agree with him.
Others say he's insane.

Whatever he vomits
I'm a person all the same.

    1. Thank you, Gia. It's meant to be for every woman during the presidential battle in the U.S.

  2. This is empowering for women since so many take this type of crap. Reading your response to Gia....I am with you too.

  5. Interesting poem. I wasn't thinking about it as related to politics but it's appropriate.

  7. That image of him vomiting the words is great, as it conjures none of the sympathy someone with the stomach flu would, but rather some ugly spirited sloppy drunk or the equivalent!

  12. Sadly too many people have heard such words, some of us have heard them from ourselves and that is really sad.

    1. We have no need for more anger and negativity. Unfortunately, we have to be negative about the negatives, or we can't fight for the positive.

  21. Damn right you are a person. A man that says such things is not a man, but a coward. I hope he goes to hell.
