Rosalind . . . and Orlando,
I have the best followers in the whole world. I hope I'm half as good as a follower to you as you are to me.
I appreciate it that so many of you expressed concern for me when I didn't feel well last night.
I am pleased to report I slept well. My back hurts more than usual, and it suddenly occurred to me a few minutes ago that the worst pain is where the doctor poked me in the back yesterday to find out where my back hurts. Well, I can pinpoint the places now!
Floating in the pool would probably help, but it's so hot I don't even want to go floating. Just leave me in the AC with my Franklin and my Netflix.
Keep on a-talkin', Willy Boy. Your sweet voice always helps me feel better. I like some of your other parts, too.
Infinities of love,
Janie Junebug
Next time you see your doctor, if your doctor is male, grab his testicles, squeeze gently and say in your sweetest voice: "Now we're not going to hurt each other, are we?"
ReplyDeleteWhat???
Oh, what a beautiful thought. I'll dream about it tonight.
DeleteI'm happy to know you're feeling better, dear Janie. I think if you floated around on Lake Junebug for a while it might help your back, but I certainly understand your need to be close to the AC. Even here along the Gulf coast it was a stifling hot day today!
ReplyDeleteStay well, dear friend!
Lake Junebug has been dry for quite some time. We haven't had as much rain as we usually get during the spring and early summer. I've also been filling in the lake with dirt and leaves. I use WDW's pool. It's so wonderfully clean, and on weekdays, hardly anyone is there. I have a private pool most of the time.
DeleteGlad you slept, but sorry you got poked!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind if Willy Dunne Wooters takes care of the poking. (I am so naughty.)
DeleteSending along wishes for quick improvement with your back! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nellie. I'll be fine. Or I'll die. Maybe I can find something in between.
DeleteFloating sounds amazing, particularly in the hot weather .Regardless, I hope your pain subsides and you get to enjoy life again soon.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy life even when my back hurts. If I didn't, then I would never enjoy life.
DeleteJust how hard did he poke you? Maybe you should file charges.
ReplyDeletePretty hard. And it was behind my back, so I'm not sure what he used to poke me.
DeleteAs one who has been there, I can feel your pain, girlfriend. Surgery made the difference for me, so if you don't get better, go see a neurosurgeon. I have no pain now, and the procedure was minor, correcting a pinched nerve in my back. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI can't have back surgery. Next step will be physical therapy.
DeleteI hope your back gets better fast. That is the pits!
ReplyDeleteFranklin will keep you company and watch Netflix with you while WDW is away, too.
*gentle hugs*
Ah, gentle hugs are the sweetest.
DeleteI'm so sorry about your back. Here, have some healing cheese to get you back on your feet.
ReplyDeleteToe cheese?
DeleteHow about a drink and a massage? I think that would be money better spent than on a doctor. See why I'm always broke.
ReplyDeleteThe spa has complimentary wine or mimosas.
DeleteDirty.
ReplyDeleteMe? Willy? My feet? Getting poked?
DeleteHe is a pretty guy. I hope the staring has eased all your back pains, JJ.
ReplyDeletePretty. Very pretty. Better than pain pills.
DeleteI know first hand how horrible doctors pokes can be. I have stenosis in my sacroiliac joints in my low back/pelvic bones and poking there can bring me to my knees. I don't think they realize how hard and painful they can be. I hope your back feels better soon. Get WDW to give you nice warm massages where it hurts!! XX
ReplyDeleteI don't like that doctor. WDW will not give me a massage.
DeleteI am sorry you have not been feeling well. I hope you feel much better immediately if not sooner!
ReplyDeleteI'm fine now, thanks.
DeleteJanie, I'm not old enough to read this (smirk). Glad you're feeling better. Back to the ornery shenanigans.
ReplyDeleteI think you already read it, smarty pants.
DeleteGlad to hear you're feeling better! I have a feeling if I had a pool, I'd never use it. We have a big tub with jets and I never use it...why don't we take time to take care of ourselves?
ReplyDeleteI had a big tub with jets in one of my houses. It was when our kids were young. I used it quite a bit--to ease aches and pains after I shoveled snow and to cool off on hot summer nights. I'll definitely use the pool. It's so relaxing.
DeleteHey Janie,
ReplyDeleteMaybe you needed a poke by your Willy Boy. It seems you are feeling better and that's good to know.
I don't consider myself a "follower", I hate that term. No, I'm only one of your zillions of starstruck fans!
Gary
I think you're into hyperbole, Gary!
DeleteBack pain, ain't no fun at all so take good care of yourself in the AC and treat your back to ice and heat!! I do that for mine!
ReplyDeleteRon
I'm fine now, thanks, Ron.
DeleteGood that you are back to 'normal'?!
ReplyDeleteOh I am glad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI hate getting poked! Take care of you!
