Hi Hi Hi hihihihihihihihihi Every Buddy! Do you know that Kissmas will be here soon?
Mom likes to sing Christmas songs. She sang this one: Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat. Please to put a penny in an old man's hat. Please to put a penny in an old man's hat. If you have no penny, a ha'penny will do. If you have no ha'penny, then God bless you. If you have no ha'penny, then God bless you.
I decided to sing, too, but I changed the words (snicker snort): Kissmas is coming, Willy Dunne Wooters is getting fat. Please put five million dollars in Mommy's hat. Put five million dollars in Mommy's hat. If you don't have five million, a million dollars will do. If you don't have a million, then no cookies for you. If you don't have a million, then no cookies for you! snicker snort snicker snort snicker snort
I sang my Christmas carol about a million times. snicker snort
Mom told me to stop or I would get a time out. snicker snort
I didn't stop. snicker snort
I kept singing in time out. snicker snort
I sang the song about a million more times. snicker snort
All of a sudden Mom said, Franklin, if you don't stop singing that song, you might not get Kissmas presents.
I'll be quiet now.
Merry Kissmas!
Okay I love you bye bye
Franklin the Bordernese
Snicker snort snicker snort snicker snort, good buddy Franklin! I love a dog with a sense of humor and, by golly, you kept yours even after Mom threw you in jail. My advice to both of you is to keep singing your songs and keep snicker snorting all the way into the new year.
ReplyDeleteHere's wishing you and Mom a safe, healthy and happy weekend!

Dear Franklin,
ReplyDeleteWe know you are going to have a wonderful Christmas. You have a very special Mom and you make sure you keep WWD in line for her. Have fun!! Love, Chip and Autumn xx
I heard that Chip is naughty. Will he get Kissmas presents?
DeleteMerry Kissmas, Franklin! May all your wishes some true, except for Willy Dunne Wooters getting fat(smile).
ReplyDeleteI'm supposed to babysit a psychotic bird Christmas week. Don't worry, he has his own time out place. If it gets bad, I may go to my time out place too.
I like the song - good memories with that one. :))
Mom said she used to sing that song in school when she was a little girl. Psychotic is not good. You watch out for that bird, Miss Dixie.
DeleteDon't worry, Franklin. Your mom wouldn't dream of not giving you any Kissmiss presents. She loves you. (Shhh, it's a secret. She might want you to think she's tough, but she's a real softy, especially when it comes to you.)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, y'all!
I know Mom is a softy with me, but she can be tough with other people. A big boy rode his bicycle too close to me one time and Mama told him off for scaring me.
DeleteThose are some expensive cookies.
ReplyDeleteUnless they're macadamia and chocolate chip.
Then?
Carry on.
I think macadamia is a kind of nut. We don't have nuts in our house because they make Mom sick.
DeleteI think that is the BEST song ever written by a dog--MERRY KISSMAS!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mrs. Ducky! Maybe some day you can paint a picture of me. Every buddy says I'm pretty.
DeleteOh, wow, I forgot the "put a penny in the old man's hat" song! And if you didn't see my response, I apologize for using you and Cherdo as a substitute for my insecurities, even though it was for a sad attempt at ha-ha's. My true intention was to promote the bloghop. I truly hope it goes well.
ReplyDeleteMom says you pretend to be naughty, but you're really nice. She knew you were helping. She pretended to bully you because you said you were bullied. Mama doesn't bully anybody.
DeleteA singing dog shouldn't get a time out. You could earn Mom her five million dollars!! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm much too shy to sing in public. I only sing to Mom.
DeleteMerry Christmas Janie, and pups! Best wishes for 2015! We are having a green Christmas so far . . .
ReplyDeleteWe always have a green Christmas in Florida.
DeleteFranklin is really beautiful and talented. Have a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you, but I know I'm bootiful and talented. Every buddy tells me so.
DeleteHi Janie .. enjoy the time .. sounds like Franklin is ready .. and those Christmas songs can get a little too much after a while .. but five million would be good wouldn't it .. bet Mom would share with you and all her friends ...
ReplyDeleteHave a good Christmas and tell Mom I do not!!!! go Shopping on Boxing Day ever!!! Shopping is not my favourite occupation .. but done my bits nearly a few things to do nearer the day ...
Enjoy your walks and kisses x millions ... cheers to one and all - Hilary
Mom doesn't go shopping, either. She hurries out sometimes to buy kibble, and then she comes right back home.
DeleteDear Franklin--I'm sure the present threat was empty, so be cheerful and carry on.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mrs. Joanne. I didn't think of that.
DeleteFranklin is quite a performer with his song! You must have given him voice lessons.
ReplyDeleteMom gave me lessons in stuff like shake hands, but I've always know how to sing. la la la laaaaaaaa
DeleteMerry Kissmas, Franklin. Sounds like you've been overdoing it on the eggnog.
ReplyDeleteNo eggnog here, Mr. Fox.
DeleteFranklin, you are the sweetest dog in the world for sending me a Dogmas card. Merry, merry Sniffmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Coco the Wonder Dog
Hi, Coco. I heard you are sweet and pretty.
DeleteYour song is SO much better, Franklin! Pennies and ha'pennies aren't worth shit today. Get with the times, Janie!
ReplyDeleteWay to tell Mom what's what. You go, girl.
DeleteFranklin,
ReplyDeleteYou could never receive a gift as wonderful as the home and family you've already got. Take care.
You're right, Mr. Chatterbox. I love Mom an awful lot.
DeleteThat's how I feel about Joe and his whistling. All. The. Time.
ReplyDeleteThe theme from The Bridge on the River Kwai is his favorite.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Oh, Good God. Bridge on the River Kwai is one of those tunes that sticks in your brain and won't go away.
DeleteOoh, a girl with spirit!
ReplyDeleteMerry Kissmas to you too!
Crap. I knew that. Don't know why I put 'girl'. Sorry, Franklin - you gorgeous BOY.
DeleteLosing my mind ...
Mom says we all kinda lose our minds during the holiday season, but it's still a happy time.
DeleteI like your song, Franklin. Mom should let you sing it as much as you want!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mrs. Mama. Mom says, Yeah, thanks a lot.
DeleteYes snicker and snorting this was funny
ReplyDeletesnicker snort snicker snort
DeleteYou are nice, Mrs. Jo-Anne.
He's a cutie and a singer!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I know I'm cute, and I like to sit on the deck and sing along to the sirens I hear.
