FRANKLIN FRIDAY: WILL SHE BE MINE?

Hi Every Buddy! It's me me memememememememememe, Franklin the Bordernese! The sun is shining and I've been playing outside with Harper, but Mom said I'd better hurry up and write my blog post if I want to have a Gal In Time.

Mom says today is a special day to ask the one I love if she'll be my Gal In Time. I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds important so I'll go ahead and ask.

I'm a little nervous so let me clear my throat and get Mom to scratch my tummy. Ah, heck, I'll just go ahead and ask:

Miss Sophie, will you please be mine?

I promise I'll never touch Mr. Orangie.

Mom printed out your picture for me.

She stole the picture from your blog, from sophie's view. I sleep with your picture. I put my chin on the paper, so you're the last doggie I see before I close my eyes.

Oh, Miss Sophie, I love you so.

I hope you are my Gal In Time.

Okay I love you every buddy bye bye.

  1. I can see why Franklin is licking his chops. Sophie is a breed apart. I hope she offers her paw in marriage. Happy Valentine's Day, JJ!

  4. Oh Franklin you are a charmer!! And you just made Sophie blush!! You are the first to express such feelings for her you see. But you are so well-mannered for a male doggie that I guess we will encourage her to accept your gesture and request. And guess what? She said she'd LOVE to be your Valentine Franklin but just wants you to know that these 'long-distance relationships are tough and don't have a very good track record. But who cares! She accepts and thanks you very much!! She will probably speak for herself in another comment.

    1. Excuse me, but Miss Sophie and I are not puppies. We are grown-up doggies with serious feelings.

  7. No offense, but Miss Sophie needs a shave and a haircut. Her face is fuzzier than mine.

    1. None taken, Mr. Pot, but Miss Sophie is supposed to be fuzzy.

  8. Not to discourage Franklin's overtures, but I heard a rumor that Miss Sophie only does doggy-style. Thank you, thank you, no, please, you don't have to give me a standing ovation. Flowers? You're too kind. Don't forget to tip your waitress. (I'm filled with self-loathing that I couldn't stop myself from making that awful attempt at humor.)

    1. We do everything doggie style. What's wrong with that? I am not laughing, and I have sharp teeth. Mom is laughing, though. Sometimes I don't understand Mom.
