DON'T NAME THAT PUPPY

Gentle Readers . . . and Maxwell,

Thank you for your comments and suggestions about Elvis Aaron Schwarz's puppy. I have taken down the post about naming him because he's not going to become a Z-Boy after all.

Elvis Aaron Schwarz and his sister talked about Mr. Puppy and agreed that he would not be safe in an urban setting because he's still a bit wild. If he got out my front door, there would be no getting him back. He'd just run.

Mr. Puppy will go to a home with a vet tech who has a lot of property and has horses.

Infinities of love,

Janie Junebug

    1. EAS wouldn't give the puppy to this lady if it weren't a good home. Mr. Puppy will be welcome. He's already fixed and microchipped.

  2. Well hell. Elvis needs to know his limits before he makes a long range commitment. Chihuahua anyone?

  3. If I didn't know you better, I'd think that was code for a "farm upstate". :) Although, incidentally, when I had to give away our dog in FL, she did go to a farm in Davie... People thought we were totally lying.

    1. Then I'm glad you know me so well. I don't think this lady has a farm, but she has a lot of land where Mr. Puppy can run. I think it's for the best. He has lots of energy, and I have a small yard.

    1. I was excited about telling puppy stories, but it would have been a tragedy if the story turned out to be that Mr. Puppy ran away and couldn't be found.

  5. For what it's worth... our dog had two acres to run, horses to chase, and another dog to play with. She was much happier, as we only had a one bedroom apartment.

  6. The most important thing is that the puppy has a good loving home.

  7. It sounds like your puppy has won the lottery when it comes to a new home.

    1. I'm sure he has or I would have gone to EAS's and found him and brought him home with me.

  8. I used to be a vet tech and have lots of land and dogs, but no horses....I still have the dogs and the land, but no horse yet and I'm not a vet tech anymore. I don't where this comment is going, so I better stop now...:)

  9. Did my comment disappear? Or you just didn't like the name Koontz?

    1. I took down the Name That Puppy post because he's not coming to live with me, but I would not have named him Koontz. It just wasn't meant to be.

    1. You have such a cool life, PAPS, with all your travels and good times. I want to trade places with you, just for one day.

  12. Someone gave us a beautiful Irish Sitter once. We were so excited. When we got home and opened the door to the car to let him out, it took off running and we never saw it again. True Story.

    1. That's exactly what we were afraid of with wild Mr. Puppy. EAS's sister told him it probably wasn't fair to me to have Mr. Puppy in an urban setting. The more I think about it, the more I know she was right.

  13. That sounds better for the pup. You have to put the puppy's needs first and it sounds like a great place for him to run. :)

    1. Yes, and I'm getting over my disappointment. I feel so bad for EAS because he has to give up Dixie and Mr. Puppy. Maybe he can get back at least one of them later.
